Kinect Star Wars Console Unboxed Before Your Eyes

Really, R2

Really, R2

Back in July we exclusively revealed the limited edition Star Wars Xbox 360 console, and now the console's been unboxed and turned on by our good friends over at Eurogamer.

The R2-D2-styled console has a blue LED for a power light and mimics the droid's whistling chatter when it's turned on or a disc is ejected. We haven't seen any of the limited edition Kinect that comes with the machine, but as it's just a white sensor that's probably no great loss.

Head over to Eurogamer for the video.

I love the fact that it actually makes R2D2 bleep noises when switched on and ejected- makes me want to go out and buy another Xbox now! Lol- looks great too!

I want one of these so bad it HURTS. My wife is just as much of a gamer and a Star Wars fan as I am, but try as I might I can't convince her that we need to spend $400 on something we already own. =/

I don't think much of it to be honest. The R2 sounds off, the design, well if someone didn't tell you it was based on R2D2 I doubt you would know, and £300+ for a 8 year bit of hardware that will be getting replaced soon is kind of a lot to pay.
