Update: Capcom confirms

Update: Capcom has confirmed Steel Battalion will launch in Europe on 22nd June and 19th June in North America.

We’re pleased to confirm Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor will be available exclusively for Xbox 360 on June 19 in North America and June 22 across European territories. Taking full advantage of Kinect for Xbox 360, players will experience war like never before. Today also saw the release of a brand new trailer which tells the story of Sgt. Powers, the game’s main protagonist, and his platoon. During the game, thanks to Kinect, players will be able to build an emotional connection with the men and women from Powers’ battalion as they pilot their Vertical Tanks to victory. This relationship between the player and the platoon will be crucial for the outcome of the war.

Original story: No sooner has the BBFC rated Dragon Ball Z Kinect for June, it's at it again, this time sticking at 15 certificate on Steel Battalion: Heavy Armour and proposing a summer release.

According to the BBFC, Kinect owners in the UK could be playing Capcom's mecha war sim on 22nd June. We haven't seen much of the game since last year's Tokyo Games Show, but recently producers said work on the game is nearly finished.

With Dragon Ball Z Kinect supposedly out in June too it looks like a busy month in store for Kinect fans.
