In Fable: The Journey, at least

Peter Molyneux's seemingly endless journey to make people sob at their relationship with a virtual pet continues apace with Fable: The Journey. During a recent conference in Spain, Molyneux explained a little more about the Kinect game's aims, development and how to play.

Once again keen to stress that Fable: The Journey is not on-rails, Molyneux emphasised that you can play the game while sat down, which he believes will help relax you and make you more receptive to the game's emotional elements:

The most amazing thing about the journey is that you can play it sitting down. If I'm going to tell the most emotional story in the Fable saga, you'll have to be relaxed.

Molyneux was on top form when discussing the horse, which he views as one of the company's biggest achievements ever:

This horse is one of the most amazing things we've ever created. He's going to have so much feeling for you. Think about combining the creature from Black and White, the dog from Fable and my hamster from when I was a child.

I definitely want to make you cry. I want there to be a lump in your throat. I want you to remember this for the rest of your life. Why would I want to make a game that didn't do that?

You can sit down for Fable: The Journey's tale of magic, adventure and childhood pets when it's released next year.

So a black and white, dogfaced hamsterhorse..... I think I'll be laughing rather than bawwing at this one...

I cried when I realized I spent $60 on Fable 3 after playing it and seeing what crap it was. So, mission accomplished Peter!!!
