Lag could be a thing of the past

We reported in March that Kinect input lag could be cut to under 5 milliseconds with enhanced behind-the-scenes algorithms, and now it seems this technology has been incorporated into the latest software development kit, according to Computer and Video Games.

The site reports that development teams have been granted access to an enhanced Kinect interface that improves the sensor's responsiveness, which should help to eradicate the input delay that has plagued a few games so far. There's no word on any more specific features that have been opened up, but less input lag is enough to be getting on with for now.
