2K's Carnival Games: In Action is the first entry in the publisher's super-successful casual gaming series to reach Xbox 360. With 7m copies sold around the world since 2007, 2K is hoping the franchise will be able to tap into an emerging market: Kinect families.

2K's marketing manager Simon Turner spoke to MCV about the publisher's hope for the title, due out in Europe on Friday:

Carnival Games was successful on Wii because it connected with consumers instantly – everyone loved it. With the Xbox 360 now having entered the family and casual games sphere with Kinect, we think our brand is perfect for that audience. We absolutely believe that Kinect families will love this game.

We'll be diving into the game to let you know if it's likely to make an impact on casual gamers when we bring you our full review in the coming weeks.
