We're not meching this up
Kinect and robots: the Adam and Eve of Skynet. We've already seen the two join forces, with human-controlled robots and room-navigating bots, and now a new installation in Japan is allowing the public to enter the cybernetic world of Ghost in the Shell.
The event promotes upcoming 3D movie Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society, which may well have the greatest name for any movie ever. Projectors beam images of the Stand Alone Complex world onto walls, and a Kinect sensor tracks player's movements as they embark on missions to support a Tachikoma mech.
Humans and robots working together, thanks to Kinect. Maybe its intentions are good after all.
