Can this year's E3 top last year's Child of Eden showing?

Secrets under wrap

Sitting two months away from E3 is always an exciting time. In the minds of gamers anything is possible before the show, with more outlandish fantasies than a Xena convention, and Kinect is no exception. Recently Microsoft's developer network (MSDN) sat down with three of the most important people on the Kinect project — Alex Kipman, Kuno Tsunoda and Darren Bennett — about what the future holds for the sensor, and while their lips were sealed on the most part, we can expect big news at E3.

Tsunoda revealed that it won't just be new games we hear about when the Los Angeles event rolls up on June 6th, promising new technology features for the sensor as well. This could be the rumoured accuracy update that would make it possible for Kinect to read fine movements, or something else altogether.

Although there's not much in the way of brand new revelations in the full interview it's worth a watch, if just to start inching up that E3 excitement-meter.

MICROSOFT!!! dont you dare announce a new kinect system like the rumour suggested just spent £280 on a slim 360 with kinect sensor. If you announce a brand new kinect system im deflecting to PS3!!!!

Good, there was a rumour of a new kinect! that would be the final nail in their coffin if they did that.

I'm thinking that they will be introducing some type of controller interface to coincide with Kinect to waver the limitations that are currently plaguing the games. ;)

ah! now that would make sense. In that respect it would be the final nail in the stale and uninteresting PS3 move. (not a fanboy I own the PS and playing sports champions is about as much fun as doing your taxes kinect sports kills it)
