Making hacking easy

All those Kinect hacks certainly look interesting, but if you want to try them on your own computer there's often a lot of code-compiling to get through before you can have a play around. Not so if you have a Mac, though, as one coder has just launched a free application on the machine's new App Store.

Called Kinect Viewer, the software allows you to see a 3D image of yourself through Kinect, with the ability to rotate and zoom around your virtual self. If you ever wanted to see yourself in a different way, this is an easy way to do so, and testament to the skill of coders who've done fantastic things with Kinect already.

Download the Kinect viewer app through the Mac App Store now.

I downloaded it, but haven't hooked up my Kinect to my Mac yet. Look forward to trying it out.
